This video is more true to Lego's actual animations rather than Lego toy movements. It looks like they've used deformers to create this effect. It is really good when it's done this way but it seems to be really time consuming. But i suppose it pays off, it makes the animation look very professional.
I also love the attention to detail, they modeled the characters with the same characteristic as the people in the movie "300".
I also love the background and how they created the city etc. with the bricks etc still using the Lego bricks. They even created the grass you get in the Lego sets!
It was a team project which took approximately 1000 hours of work during 12 week project.
Overall it's a really impressive piece and it seems that all the time and effort spent on creating it paid off!
